Featuring the combined talents of Maria Walsh (vocals, bodhrán) and Carole Nelson (saxophones, tin whistle, piano), Zrazy are at the forefront of contemporary Irish music and considered to produce a unique sound. In 1999, Carole and Maria returned to their first love, jazz, and released their third album Private Wars, a stunning collection of original jazz songs. Since forming in 1993, Zrazy have toured extensively in Europe and North America, proving that they are not only formidable studio musicians and producers, but also powerful and charismatic live performers.
They have achieved considerable recognition in the US where they tour every Spring and Autumn in venues like the Blue Note, Las Vegas. Last year, they won the GLAMA award in New York for Best Jazz song. Zrazy are available by request for gigs and festivals throughout the year when not touring the States.
